As part of the on-going PSHE (personal, social, and health education) and SRE programme Year 11 students were involved in a talk/workshop in school called ‘A Night to Remember’ presented by The Dorset Police Safe Schools and Community Team.
The session focused on alcohol related crime and highlighted to students the safeguarding issues related to alcohol misuse, violent crime statistics and local case studies involving sexual assaults. As part of the session, students were given advice about how to keep themselves safe and avoid becoming either victim or a perpetrator of such crimes and the wider implications a split second decision can have.
