The Shine Project Health & Wellbeing Event 2018

Students celebrate the end of their eight week Shine Project course.

On 19th November 2018, 12-year eight students attended an evening event at the Pizza Express as part of the Shine Project.

This was a celebratory event to complete the Shine project sessions held in school over the last eight weeks to help with self-esteem and confidence in young teenage girls.

During the weekly sessions, the students have engaged with an amazing variety of activities including, skincare demonstrations, hair demonstrations health and fitness, mindfulness and creative activities. Students were enthusiastic and really enjoyed the sessions.

The celebratory meal gave the students a chance to show off their confidence and take part in a way, which promotes their independence, self-esteem, and being able to make choices for themselves.

The girls were a credit to the school in the way they conducted themselves.

We hope that there will be a repeat of the event next year.
