Squash County Champion

Following on from our last story, Maia has just competed in the Squash Junior English championships

After a hard fought final, where Maia only just lost 3-2, her ranking is now 2nd in England.

February 2017

Maia is currently the U15, U17 and U19 Dorset Squash County Champion and the South West number 1. Maia won the Welsh Open in September 2016, was 4th in the Scottish Open in January this year and is now ranked in the top 4 in England!

In February 2017, Maia travelled to Lille to compete in the French Junior Open, considered to be one of the most prestigious junior open squash championships in Europe and came 2nd. The final was a tightly contested match with Maia being beaten in the fifth and final set. However, this incredible result following on from her recent successes in the UK, takes Maia’s ranking from the top 20 in Europe to comfortably into the top 6!
