For three months, 90 students and the Expressive Arts team worked hard rehearsing and preparing for our school production: A Little Shop of Horrors! The performances, held between the 2nd - 4th February, were amazing! The energy, enthusiasm and outstanding talent shone through and our audiences loved it! Thank you to everyone who came along to watch and support our students.
" The school show Little Shop of Horrors was an amazing experience and a lot of fun taking part in as the Dentist. I went in having no idea what I was in for, but the moment I started I couldn't stop. This starter to drama was great and everyone in the cast bonded as a team no matter what year difference there was. “I really enjoyed playing in the band with the other Year 10s. Supporting the cast on stage was a demanding but entertaining job. It involved hours of practicing after-school but it all paid off with a fantastic show. I gained experience by playing in front of an audience and musically, by playing my tenor saxophone and clarinet for the show and rehearsals.
My course so far with GCSE Music has been filled with fun practical performances and important theory lessons, which has changed how I view music technically and practically.
The show has helped me with my course because I have increased knowledge about written music, how it is used and presented which is an important aspect in GCSE Music.”
