Our Enterprising Students

Congratulations to our Year 10 Enterprise team who have been successful in reaching the South West regional final of the Coca Cola Real Business Challenge.

Nationally 870 teams entered the competition this year so this is a superb achievement in making the final 100. The regional final takes place in Bristol at Ashton Gate football stadium on Thursday Feb 4th. As it is an early start event organisers have agreed to fund accommodation for the team so that they can arrive fresh and ready for the challenge ahead.

Previously teams have been required to put together marketing campaigns for various real life events and have had the chance to record radio adverts, videos and create an app. Finance and feasibility studies are required to give the students valuable experience in higher level event planning skills. Teams also receive business mentors from Coca Cola to help guide them through the challenge.  Last year’s team managed to achieve an incredible 2nd place, our best finish as a school so far. Let’s hope the team can match this or even go one better!
