The Highcliffe Sixth Form Rugby Academy | Highcliffe School

The Highcliffe Sixth Form Rugby Academy

The Academy was launched in September 2014 as part of the growing enrichment opportunities available in the Sixth Form and is now in its second year.

Mr Chris Culleton remains head coach for the Academy and brings with him a huge amount of experience coaching rugby. He was a key part in the success of the Sports Tour in both 2013 and 2015.

The Highcliffe Rugby Academy provides an exciting opportunity to pursue a dynamic enrichment activity that will aim to support, nurture and develop young talented rugby players who have demonstrated a high potential in rugby. Training is every Tuesday from 3.15pm until 4.45pm. The primary themes covered are skill development and performance assessment, technical and tactical development, coaching development, officiating development, conditioning and fitness, diet and nutrition. This will run alongside Rugby 5 core skills of passing, catching, tackling, support play and decision making.

Further details with follow, with an updated fixture list.
