A successful night at the KS4 Music Showcase

Highcliffe School Music held a KS4 Music Showcase to show off the talent within the school to friends and family of the performers.

Having close to 80 people in the audience filling the performance hall gave a buzzing atmosphere and helped make the night a success. The Music Tech team (Techies) did an outstanding job at not only setting up the stage but also finding performers, promoting the event, planning the running order, sending permission slips to parents and managing everything to do with the concert. Mr Bannister had the task of supervising.

The Music Tech team work hard in lessons and also in their own time to make sure the concert was a success. Although there were a few problems while planning, the team came up with back up plans in case something went wrong and it was those plans that helped the planning run smoothly.

The concert had a whole range of different instruments like vocals, flute, guitar, drums, keyboard and clarinet - all with different genres from classic films to rock. It was nothing but entertainment for the whole night and I’m sure the audience would agree.

Overall the success of the night was down to the unparalleled focus of the Music Tech team and the fantastic support of the performers and families. Hopefully there will be a lot more concerts like it in the future.
