The Sixth Form

Although our very successful Sixth Form is flourishing we intend to remain at the relatively small size of approximately 300 students in order to preserve the unique ethos of individual care and guidance and smaller class size which underpin our success.

The encouragement and support from the teachers at Highcliffe is outstanding. I am so grateful for everything they have done for me and my peers. I’m so glad I chose to come here for Sixth Form. We offer:

As well as offering travel subsidies to students using the school buses we also run subsidised Sixth Form-only mini-bus services to Highcliffe from Lymington and the New Forest, Christchurch and Bournemouth.

Student responsibilities are important to us and we encourage students to take up leadership roles which could involve: encouraging and mentoring younger students, following a community service programme to include schemes such as Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, the various sports leadership awards and Young Enterprise.

Students are prepared well for the next stage of their education, including places at top performing universities. – Ofsted 2013
