ADT 6th Form Paris Trip 2015

Over February half term the ADT department took 35 year 12 and 13 students to Paris for an incredibly busy week.

Students visited some of the world’s most famous monuments and viewed the work of many famous artists.

We were able to see a wide range of artworks from old masters like Picasso, Van Gogh and Monet to the more contemporary work of Jeff Koons. We explored sites as diverse as the Musée du Louvre, the Musée D’Orsay, the Pompidou centre, the Orangerie and the Musée Rodin which meant there was definitely something for everyone.

There was also the opportunity to photograph and explore in and around the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, the Sacré Coeur and of course the iconic Eiffel Tower. We also ventured out of Paris to the enormous palace of Versailles and its extensive gardens.

Throughout the visit students worked on visual journals to document their stay within this famous city.  These will be on display, along with a series of photographs, in a small exhibition in the Da Vinci atrium over the next few weeks.
