Highcliffe Student Scoops Computing Prize

Former Highcliffe Sixth former Christopher Slade has been awarded a prize for getting one of the top 50 marks in the Computing A Level across the country.

The award also involves a reception with industry leaders in Bath later on this month which will be a fantastic networking opportunity.

Assistant Headteacher, Mathew Downs comments “This is an excellent achievement for Chris and reflects all the hard work he put in last year, Well done!”

Christopher will be starting at Oxford University (Keble College) in October reading Mathematics.

Chris is not the only high achiever in Computing at Highcliffe with 56% of the group gaining an A*/A grade as part of the first cohort to be taken through this new course. This is a fantastic achievement by the students and gives the current Years 12 and 13 students a high target to chase.
