Summer Concert 2014

The Music department would like to invite everyone to the school summer concert on Tuesday 1st July.

All our parents and friends of the school are invited to come and  support the students.  It is promising to be a fine evening of entertainment, showing off Highcliffe students’ performing talents.  There will be over 100 students involved in the evening!

We have performances from the choir featuring ‘Circle of Life’ ‘Pompeii’, ‘Happy’ and ‘A Little Respect’.  We have the Jazz band to look forward to with ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ and some Blues numbers.  We have year 10 Btec dancers and year 7 and 8 dance club with some street dance.  We also have a plethora of solo acts, some of which are performing their own songs or arrangements and also the staff choir will be singing again too. 

We are supporting the Btec level 2 music students by bringing in a professional sound technician who will be taking them through how to prepare and run a complex live sound event.

The performance starts at 7pm and should finish by 9pm and tickets can be bought on WisePay for £3.  The proceeds will go towards the concert fund to help support the whole school production next year.  Refreshments will be available for a donation and monies raised will be split between supporting the Paris music trip, which is taking place in activities week and this year’s chosen charity: The Royal British Legion.

We look forward to seeing you there, especially if you haven’t been before.  It will be a wonderful evening.
