Photography Competition Success

Jackson Barton in year 12 is awarded category winner in a national photography competition.


Jackson beat over 2000 other applicants with his photograph ‘Nightskate’ to be awarded ‘Category Winner – Interests and Hobbies’ in the ‘Where do I Belong’ photographic competition. The ‘Where do I Belong’ competition is organised by ESRC (Economic and Social Research Council), they challenged young people for their unique take on society and the social sciences by asking them to take a picture of where they belong and feel at home. Jackson was awarded £100 for photographic equipment and his work was exhibited at the Strand Gallery in London.
