Road Resurfacing Works | Highcliffe School

Road Resurfacing Works

Dorset County’s Highways Department has advised the School that weather permitting, Forest Way will be resurfaced between 12 and 14 February.

The School will continue to open for normal hours during this period, and access to the School will be maintained at all times.

During the hours of 9.00 am and 2.00 pm, there will be a one way system in operation, but outside of these times two way traffic is planned to minimise congestion.

As there may be some disruption along normal travel routes, parents may wish to consider allowing extra time for journeys to and from School on those days, and make arrangements for alternative drop off points for students travelling by car.

Please see below the information provided to the School by Dorset Highways:

INFORMATION PROVIDED BY DORSET COUNTY HIGHWAYS – RESURFACING WORKS TO FOREST WAY

We will complete the resurfacing of Forest Way under a road closure from 0900 - 1400 on 12th - 14th February. During these periods a one way system will be in operation along Forest Way to maintain access to the school at all times. Traffic will be allowed to enter the road from Smugglers Lane North and access the school via Woodfield Gardens. Traffic will be allowed to exit the site via Forest Rise.

Outside of these times the road will be left open to traffic and all raised ironworks will be ramped to allow the road to be used. Signage will be in place to notify this to road users.
