THANK YOU... Shoebox Appeal - Final Total 425

Every year the School joins in with the Rotary Club Shoebox Scheme, making and collecting Christmas shoeboxes for needy children in around the world.


This year, students, staff and parents from Highcliffe School collected a superb 425 Christmas shoeboxes for needy children in Eastern Europe and Africa. The school joins in with the Rotary Club Shoebox Scheme every year, making Christmas boxes filled with toys, stationary, toiletries and clothes.  Over 4200 boxes have been made by our school over the last 10 years! This year’s response has continued the trend.


“I just love imagining the excitement on the children’s faces as they open their shoebox on Christmas morning!” exclaimed one of our a Year 8 students.


Bill Baker, from Highcliffe Rotary Club thanked everybody who took part in the appeal, “Thank you to Highcliffe School for providing such a large number of Christmas shoeboxes. They will be distributed to needy children by Rotary Clubs receiving them in Albania, Montenegro, Tanzania and the Philippines. A fine example of Christmas goodwill and charity in action.”
