Year 8 Rugby Festival

Congratulations to the Year 8 Rugby team who finished runners up in the town rugby festival held at St. Peters on 8th November 2011

The team, captained by Ciaran, performed very well during the course of the day and the players were a real credit to the school.

In the pool games the boys drew 5-5 against St. Peters, won 25-0 against Oakmead and won 10-0 against BCS. They qualified for the semi finals in 2nd place based on tries scored where they beat Ringwood 15-0.

In the final they had a rematch with St. Peters where they lost out in a very close and competitive game, losing out by one try 0-5! It was a real shame to lose out by such a close margin, but the team can take credit for how they played and will be able to continue to build and improve. Many thanks to the parents who came to give the team such great support during the day.
