MyHelp

This initiative is designed to help us in Year 12 become more involved with the lower school and help students to work together.

Year 7 students can access assistance with completing their home study tasks and will be able to log on to a new link on their MyHighcliffe page specifically designed for their needs. We are beginning by focusing on Maths and Humanities, but we hope to expand to all subject areas in the future.

 
When a Year 7 student has a problem with their home study in one of these areas they can just click on the question mark icon on their MyHighcliffe page and ask for help. An email is sent to a central administrator who then forwards the query to one of the Year 12 mentor team who is studying that subject. The Year 12 student can either reply via email or meet the year 7 student in the Galaxy Room during tutor time to chat through the problem.

We are all very excited about this new scheme. We believe it will help the Year 7s to feel part of our school environment and more comfortable about asking for help with their home study.  AS for the Year 12 students, it feels great to give something back and be reminded that we are still a central part of the school population.
