Chrismaths 2017

Highcliffe maths department hold Chrismaths event for talented Year 5 mathematicians

On Wednesday 22nd November Highcliffe School warmly welcomed a number of gifted Mathematicians from our feeder primary schools, along with their parents, for an evening of Christmas themed mathematical problems.

From solving mathematical riddles to winning at game shows, the Year 5s impressed us all with their Mathematical problem solving and eagerness to give everything a go!

We cannot wait for them to join us in Year 7 in a couple of years! Thank you very much to all the parents who came along to support their children, and many thanks to the Maths Department for organising such a fun and interactive evening!

As one parent put it, the most enjoyable part was “watching my son have fun and learn at the same time”.
